Came across these three cheetahs at sunrise maybe a mile after leaving Kati Kati Camp |
One of my favorite photos of the entire trip |
Keeping an eye out for prey |

The black tear streaks are a distinguishing feature of a cheetah |
They like higher points so they can scan for prey |
Sometimes they'll actually jump up on the hoods of Land Cruisers to scan for prey, but I wasn't that lucky |

Didn't see any prey anywhere near these guys, so eventually we moved on with no chance of seeing a kill |

Now a different cheetah |
Just finished eating |
Came across two cheetahs in the tall grass, looked like they had just taken down a Thomson's gazelle |
