Wadi al Mudhlim

Petra

If you'll be at Petra for multiple days and want an alternate route into Petra instead of the Siq, try Wadi al Mudhlim. Head veer right just before you enter the Siq. That sign in the picture will say Wadi al Mudhlim. Highly recommended. I didn't pass a single person in either direction, so it's a good break from the tour group noise. You go through a short tunnel that spits you out here.
It's pretty much impossible to get lost. The path gets narrow in a hurry. Pretty soon you're just walking through a narrow rock passageway.
Tiny rockslide. This is what most of the trail is like. It does involve a little scrambling over rocks.
It's a really narrow passageway at times. Don't plan on walking upright the whole time. Or flat footed.
Makeshift ladder. These were actually pretty tough to get down without tearing a gash in your leg with the exposed fence. Nabataean carvings.
More Nabataean carvings. The wadi spits you out here, a few hundred meters from the Sextius Florentinus Tomb. Some little tombs by the wadi exit.
Pretty cool rock formation.
