Karst mountains along the banks of the Li River Half day cruise along the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo, the slowest but the prettiest way to get to Yangshuo You can then take a bus from Yangshuo back to Guilin, which I think took one or two hours. Yangshuo is worth at least one night before heading back to Guilin.
Li River cruise Flock of birds over the Li River Lots of tourist boats leave Guilin in the morning and arrive in Yangshuo around 2pm. They don't go back up the river, it's a one-way trip.

Li River cruise The Painted Hill of Nine Horses, one of the most famous sites along the river I can make out two. I don't have the slightest idea where the other seven are.
Spiky karst mountains This is another famous sight, it's roughly the view that's printed on the 20 yuan Chinese note Li River cruise
